San Francisco International Airport is proud to offer a behind-the-scenes look at one of the Nation's busiest airports. We provide more than 100 guided tours each year, allowing a unique and informative look at the daily operations of an international airport.
General Information:
- Tours are always scheduled in advance and confirmed one week prior to date.
- Tours are scheduled Monday through Thursday. Tours typically start at 10:45 a.m. and last approximately two hours.
- Tour groups should have a minimum of ten and a maximum of thirty-five participants.
- Children should be at least six years old.
- One chaperone is required for every five children.
- Adult tours will be tailored to suit the group’s focus.
Group Tours include:
- Observation Control Tower
- Police Officer and K-9 Bomb Detection Demonstration (upon availability)
- International Terminal
- San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum
- Noise Abatement (upper grade elementary through college students only)
- Presentation by an inspector from U.S. Customs or U.S. Agriculture with their K-9 (upon availability).
Where can I park?
Convenient parking is available at SFO 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hourly and daily parking is provided in the Domestic and International Garages. Valet parking for all terminals is located in the Domestic Garage, off the Departures Level roadway opposite Delta Airlines. The Long Term Parking Lot is located off the US Highway 101/San Bruno Avenue-East interchange. All SFO parking facilities have a 30-day parking limit.
